We are sooooo busy in here!

Our main focus right now is SCIENCE.  Last week we planted sunflower seeds.  As with all SCIENTISTS, we are learning how to observe, record our observations, compare data, and predict.  The students are so excited each morning to see the growth of their plant.  We have made entries for 2 weeks now and I am impressed with their observations.  Good SCIENTISTS in here.

READING-Seeds   We read The Sunflower House.

WRITING-INFORMATIONAL (with descriptive words about a specific flower.)

MATH-Graphing   We will be making different kinds of graphs (in order to set them up as reviews for NWEA in a few weeks) and comparing the graphs.  we started today with a pictograph of different pets.

SCIENCE-Seeds and Plants

SOCIAL STUDIES- Taking a stand on an issue  (on report card)

I tired to take some pictures of them “observing” and recording information with their plants today. I know I didn’t get each student this time but you’ll get the idea.
