I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I spent Saturday with my granddaughter Lucy, as we celebrated her 6th birthday. Since she is in Kindergarten, we like to share information about what’s going on in each other’s class. We always have a lot to discuss. Her little sister, Mollie, likes to be in on the action too, so it’s always fun when we’re together!

SPELLING-The students had their first Spelling Test last Friday and most did very well! Here are this week’s words:
(We’ll work with the “it” chunk.) pit hit fit slit are for (I might toss in “the” as an extra, since some folks like to mix up the letters in spelling it. Be Prepared)
MATH-We will be creating graphs. We will also work with nickels and dimes. Practice counting coins at home, using nickels and dimes. The students have been counting by 10’s and 5’s for quite a while and should be able to count up coins.
SCIENCE-We will be using our opportunities in Math with creating Bar Graphs to help us construct other graphs using new information.
