Happy March!! Can you believe that it’s already March? Slow down time, please.

March is Reading Month. I invite parents, grandparents, to come in and read to my class for 10-15 minutes. I have a sign up list in my room. Please come in to sign up for a time slot. Nothing long, maybe a favorite story of your child’s bedtime books.

Coming home today is a calendar with details about our Howard school March is Reading Month activities. Our theme is

“Say ALOHA to a Good Book.” Check out the activities that your family can do together.

When your child is melting down,

Try to remind yourself…

“We get grumpy when we are hungry, too.

We get anxious with change, too.

We get frustrated when things don’t go our way, too.

We get overwhelmed when things seem too big, too.

We are all learning

and we ALL need a little patience,

a listening ear, and a LOT of grace. “

Have a great (warmer??) weekend.
