Wasn’t yesterday’s Snow Day a pleasant surprise! I’m hearing about lots of family activities-sledding, making snowmen, drinking hot cocoa, eating pancakes, staying in their pajamas all day… 🙂
The dioramas look fantastic and the students are so proud of their work! I hope you enjoyed watching the project evolve.
I also have some “100 year old looking” folks in here today. How adorable!! I’ll post pictures later today.
For next week…
MARCH IS READING MONTH Our school theme is “Earthlings, take me to your Reader.” I made spaceships and put their picture in the spaceship. I posted the spaceships around the “Earthling…” title. They look cute!
READING-Week 3 of Unit 7 How Weather Affects Us. (rain, temperature changes, cloudy) We’ll talk about Hibernation. Who hibernates? Why do they hibernate? We’ll be reading a story about a bear who hibernates and we’ll read The Mitten. On Friday we will compare and contrast the two texts.

For example, when adding up pennies, nickels, and dimes, start with the dimes (“ten, twenty, thirty” and then add on the nickels “five, ten, fifteen” and then add on the pennies “) Practice! Practice! Practice! Count Daddy’s money, Mom’s money, Grandma’s money
As if we haven’t had a busy enough week this week with Dioramas, the 100th Day and a Snow Day, here’s some more excitement for next week. Next week is HOWARD SCHOOL SPIRIT WEEK! A note went home on Wednesday with the details.

Enjoy your weekend!
