We sang a song 10 times.  Each time we sang the song, we left off the last word.  It was funny and fun to sing that way.

Our last feature was the reading of our All-School Story.  Each class wrote 2-3 sentences of a story before passing on the story to another class.  We were all very interested and curious to hear the final story.

What a fun assembly!

Today…

WRITING and SPELLING-Instead of a Trial Spelling Test, we made a “rug” of “ug” words.  This gave them a chance to practice some of their spelling words.  Please remember to practice the words.

MATH-I hide 10 sticks behind my back.  Next I pull out a few sticks.  They need to discover how many sticks are behind my back.  There are several strategies that they can use.  Try it at home.

SCIENCE-We’re watching for any progress with our seeds that we planted and making entries in our Science Journals.  They wear their lab coats and act like real Scientists.  They observe, draw, and record their observations and findings.

READING-Keep up the reading at home.  We’re still working towards an all-school goal of reading for 200,000 minutes.  We just have a few more days to reach our goal.  If we reach our goal, we will have a S’mores Party to celebrate our accomplishment.

SOCIAL STUDIES-I assessed each of them on Unit 2 and all did very well!  I am pleased with their learning.

Tomorrow evening (Thursday) I have conferences with some parents.  I have contacted those parents that I will be seeing this round.
