Hey there Viking Nation!

 

We have embarked on our 4th mystery skype call of our 24 hour world tour! It is currently 10:52 p.m., and we are all anxious to see who our next skype call will be with. So far, our call seems to be coming from a country in the Northern Hemisphere, and has since been narrowed down to a country in Asia. We have also just discovered that their country borders an ocean or large body of water.  Our call failed as a result of the computer mandatorily shutting down.

Alright we’re back, and have answers to even more questions to determine their location in the world! They are in Japan, and more specifically, Maibara!

Hearing about our cultural differences was very interesting and eye-opening experience. The questions exchanged by both of our groups was an enlightening experience that I will never forget. Even between a language barrier, our call was still informative, and made us all realize that no matter the differences in culture, we can all relate on some personal level!

To learn about our culture, they were asking us questions like “Do you like disney?” and making heart symbols with our hands that either side could understand. It is so cool to see that people that our so different can be so much like us. We are talking about foods like pizza and taught them how to hit, “the woah”. I guess they did ok.

We also talked about our favorite songs and artists. Finally, we ended with a group photo and bid our Japanese friends farewell!
