Learning Labs
We are entering a new phase of our school year. Our learning labs will be beginning soon! I will be grouping my students into reading groups for learning labs. I will be scheduling each group to come into school or work via zoom during the afternoon independent work time to read with me. Mrs. Moslemani will also have a group or two that she will be working with as well. The groups are based on the NWEA and DRA test scores. I will be contacting parents this week.
EPIC BOOKS
Over 1000 books have been read on Epic books by my students since we began school! This has totaled over 114 hours of reading! I am so proud of my students! Remember, if you want to read into the evening (after 4:00pm) on Epic books you need to respond to the email invite that I sent to you. This will allow you to read a selection of books for free in the evening. Epic books is usually only free during school hours. Yousef, Adam, and Isaac have read over 100 books each! Great job! Keep on reading!
ZOOM MEETINGS
Please be on time for our zoom classes each morning. We begin at 9:00 am. Many students are entering at 9:15 am or later! If you are planning on being absent, please call the attendance office at Snow School and report the reason for your absence. I worry when students are missing! You are also responsible to make up any work that you missed from the days that you are absent.

CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
The Blue Folders containing the September packet of activities and Zoom activities should now be complete! Please store all of these papers in the blue folder to be collected when your child comes into school for our learning labs. I will grade the papers at that time.
The October folder is yellow and it has many packets inside. We will be using the Benchmark Unit 1, Week 1 packet this week in class every day. It contains all the spelling and grammar worksheets from Unit 1, week 1 and the homework pages for this week. Please keep this packet out and ready to use each morning. The zoom packet will be used on Friday only this week. The October activities packet is for extra work and is divided into 2 parts, language arts and math. It will be used this Friday for extra assignments during math and independent work times. The other Benchmark Unit 1 Week 2 packet will be used next week. Keep all packets together in this yellow folder.
