Lindbergh Elementary Hosts the 3rd Annual Science Boot Camp

Lindbergh’s science boot camp originated to help raise their science scores.  Tracy Wright is the chairperson of this event.  Lindbergh staff made a commitment to do more hands on science experiments to increase the student achievement as part of their SIP goals.

Each grade chooses a science experiment that goes with what they are teaching.  Ex. 3rd grade is studying plants and animals. So, they chose “what my plant will grow in.”   All boards and materials necessary were donated by the Lindbergh PTA.  A teacher committee and a student committee were formed to help decide what additional experiments to purchase. Some of the students even came up with some of their own experiments to share with families.  This was above and beyond the science boards.  The school was bustling with activity as students and families reviewed science projects, participated in hands on projects and even watching a live animal show.  With parent and staff working together the event was a success.
