Field Trip Chaperone IChat Form

We are planning a field trip to the Michigan Outdoor Adventure Center most likely right after our Winter break. The date is not yet confirmed, but if you would like to chaperone at all this year for any field trip, a background check ICHAT form MUST be filled out for you to attend. The process takes about 2 weeks so please stop by our main office to complete the form.

Week of 11/12

Math: We will finally finish Module 1 this week. Our Module 1 math test will be this Wednesday. We will review Monday and Tuesday. Your child must understand how to multiply, divide and solve two step word word problems.

Social Studies: I will also give the Michigan Geography test this Friday. We will be highlighting information we need to know in our Geography packets and this can be used to review for the test.

Week of 11/5

We just wrapped up the first card marking! Students will be receiving their report card at the scheduled Parent Teacher Conference time. I talked to the class about how we have a fresh start today to work as hard as we can with academics and behavior for the second card marking. Please continue to encourage your child to do their best as well.

Honor Roll Assembly- We will honor our 3rd-5th grade students who earned Honor Roll or Principal’s List at an assembly on Friday, November 16th at 2:15

Family Pasta Night-Monday, November 19th at Geer Park from 5-7pm. Tickets are $8 per person and will be sold in the office until November 14th. No tickets sold at the door. All pasta provided by Habib’s Cuisine.  Money raised will help support Geer Park PTA

October Student of the Month

Congratulations to Madison Howell! She was chosen as our October Student of the Month. The students voted for who they believed deserved it this month. Some reasons that students gave included how Madison is always kind, helps others, does her work and is respectful to the teachers!

Parent Data Meeting

I will be holding a Data Meeting on Thursday, October 25th at 9:40-10:25 in my classroom, Room 206. I will be sharing your child’s NWEA data and DRA Reading Level. Notes went home today. Please sign and return letting me know if you can make it. Please plan on attending this important meeting!
