Dear Parent/Guardian,

On Monday, May 11^th, parents will be able to come to Geer Park to pick up their child’s Math book(s) and school materials that were ordered for each grade level.

Location:  Outside the main entrance.  Grade level tables will be set up.  Please walk up to the grade level table to pick up the materials.

Grade Level Times listed below:

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m

All Grades: Young 5’s, Kindergarten, 1^st grade, 2^nd grade , 3^rd grade, 4^th grade, 5^th grade

It is recommended that only parents come to school to pick up their child’s materials.

It is recommended that parents wear a face mask when coming to pick up the materials.

Note:  “No personal belongings will be allowed to be picked up at this time”. Once we get notified on a future date for this to occur, we will share it with the parents.

Last week, teachers were able to go into the building following social distancing guidelines. In a ziplock bag for each student, I packed our next chapter book that we will be reading as a whole class, our next math module and other school supplies. Here is the schedule for picking up these materials and precautions to take:

Dear Students and Parents,

Students will be graded on the work that they complete. The criteria is listed below.

For the current (4th) marking period:

“Students receive feedback on weekly assignments in the form of narrative comments.

• Meeting:  regularly submitted work and attended check-ins
  • Accuracy of work assessed on standards/graded/recorded in MiStar
  • High participation
• Progressing:  Submitted most assignments and attended some of the check-ins
• Limited Participation:  with one of the following explanations
  • Rarely or did not submit work (may be required to attend summer school)
  • Rarely attended check-in sessions (may be required to attend summer school)
  • Family hardship during the time of instruction (summer support offered)”

Again, students, please review all of this information, continue to check your teacher’s iblog site and emails, daily.

I hope everyone had a great break!

Please look carefully at the schedule for this week as it looks a little different. I will be meeting the students this week for google hangouts to go over their answers for the previous day’s math lesson. This means that students should have their math assignment turned in before the hangout so we can go over the answers and any questions they may have. I will also be holding hangouts for Reading/ELA and Social Studies.

I will not be posting new assignments the week of April 6th-April 10. This week is our Spring Break. Please use this time to catch up on missing work from the previous weeks in Google Classroom. I emailed all students their list of missing assignments. It can be found in their Google Drive in their email. Students should have everything completed by the end of the week.
