RL 3.7 Explain how specific aspects of a text’s illustrations contribute to what is conveyed by the words in a story (e.g., create mood, emphasize aspects of a character or setting)
RI 3.1 Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.
Language Arts:
Students will study grammar and language review Monday-Thursday. Study guides comes home Thursday and the quiz will be on Friday.
Language Skills: compound sentences, antonyms, and adverbs
Math:
OBJECTIVE: students recognize area as an attribute of two-dimensional regions. They measure the area of a shape by finding the total number of same-size units of area required to cover the shape without gaps or overlaps, a square with sides of unit length being the standard unit for measuring area. Students understand that rectangular arrays can be decomposed into identical rows or into identical columns. By decomposing rectangles into rectangular arrays of squares, students connect area to multiplication, and justify using multiplication to determine the area of a rectangle.
Homework: pages will be assigned daily from the succeed book. Sometimes, homework will also be in the weekend. Quizzes and tests will be announced on Class Dojo and Planners.
