Important Reminders
Friday, October 11th will be a half day. All students will be dismissed at 11:10.
All students must have a headphone in class to use with the Chrome Books. Please provide one as indicated in the supplies list. Thank you in advance. Disregard this message if your child already has one.

Spelling:
#5 Skill- Homophones
List A:be, too, won, meet, dear, sea, here, blue, pair, wear
Both:plain, buy, break, eight, son
List B: waist, grate, pier, aloud,cents, weak,hoarse, guessed, feat, sighed
Spelling Homework :
- Each week your child will add a spelling card to this collection. Students will study List A or List B for the week, depending on pretest results. All students will need to study the words in “both” section. There will be 5 content words added as well for a total of 20 words.
- Tic-Tac-Toe: Students will use the same board for the first nine weeks. They will choose three squares to complete and hand in on Friday. Have fun
Spelling Test: Friday
Reading for 20-30 Minutes
~20-30 minutes –In addition to reading books, students may use Mobymax and any reading assignment towards the 30 minutes of reading .
~Reading: RL 3.2 Recount stories, including fables, folktales, and myths from diverse cultures; determine the central message, lesson, or moral and explain how it is conveyed through key details in the text
Language Arts: Adverb, prefixes, homophones
Students study grammar and language review Monday-Thursday. Study guide comes home Thursday and the quiz will be Friday.
Math:
We are working on multiplication and division strategies and story problems using arrays, distributive property, and number bonds. Students will receive homework as we finish learning the lessons in class. The homework book is called Succeed. Sometimes, homework will also be in the weekend.
Also, students are encouraged to practice math skills using Zearn. They have the User Name and Password taped in their planners.
Social Studies:What is a geographer, what is a state, and what city do you live in.
Science: Forces-push, pull, and balanced forces.
Snacks: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack. Thank you for your help and support :),
