Homework Packets: Please have your child work on the packet each day.  Also, read for 20-30 minutes and fill response logs, students choose only three boxes of spelling activity.  Homework is due on Fridays.

Spelling: Random Spelling Lists 14-20 (students will study only A and Both)

Math: Unit 8 Fractions

• Understand a fraction 1/b as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts; understand a fraction a/b as the quantity formed by a parts of size 1/b.
• CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.NF.A.2
  Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.

Prodigy Prodigy is a website that help students practice their math skill.  Your child is encouraged to practice math skills with Prodigy.

Mobymax: practice math fluency, math, numbers

Reading: Read every night for 20-30 minutes, and ask and answer comprehension questions.  Students will practice the fiction and non-fiction comprehension questions to assist with understanding text.  Reading logs and responses should be filled for each time they read.

Writing: Opinion writing-CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.3.1
Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons
