October 9

Week of October 9th-13

Good Morning Families,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Important Dates

Friday October 13th is a half day.  Dismissal is at 11:10

Homework Packets: We are starting homework packets this week. Homework will come home on Mondays and will be due on Fridays.   Homework is from the skills we learned last week in class.  Please have your child work on one page of reading and math each day.  Also, read for 20 minutes and fill the log, and one box of spelling each day. 🙂 🙂

Spelling: Our skill this week is Soft C and G.   We also have five content words.  Spelling test are usually on Fridays.  Please have your child review either list A or list B and study the “both” section too.

Math: CCSS 3.MD.B3  students will draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.

Prodigy Prodigy is a website that help students practice their math skill.  Your child is encouraged to practice math skills with Prodigy. A username and password paper was sent home last Thursday.

Reading: Read every night for 20-30 minutes, and ask and answer comprehension questions.  Reading logs and responses should be filled for each time they read.  Return logs Friday.

Writing: Informational writing about our classmates.

Snacks: please send a healthy snack.
