Weekly Updates

Greetings Families,

I apologize for not being able to send this blog yesterday due to a family member health emergency.  I truly missed all the students and I am very glad I am back in class today.  Wish you all good health with your loved ones.

Spelling: list #14~Irregular past tense spelling pattern

Reading: 20-30 minutes of daily reading is highly recommended. Record on January logs. (Mobymax and Myon reading can be used towards the 30 minutes reading)

Fluency: a new fluency will be sent home today. Please have your child read the passage four times a week. Each time should include three attempts. Have them answer the questions in a complete sentence and underline their evidence in the text.
Story of the Week: a new prompt will be sent home today. We love how the students are expressing themselves through this free write.
Math:
We will start math unit 6 this week.  The unit test will around the 9th or the 10th of February.  I will be sending a study guide with the students.   This unit will cover some Geometry Common Core Standards: 3.G1 and Operation and Algebraic Thinking~3.OA.3 and 3.OA.6 (Multiplication and Division story problems)
Social Studies- Government of Michigan vocabulary words: Common Good, laws, rights, responsibilities, government,

 

Snacks: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack. The students really enjoy them!
