Welcome Back

Good Morning Families,
I hope your break was filled with relaxing and enjoyable time with your friends and families.  I am so excited to be back in the classroom and to have a strong new year filled with learning and growing.  We will be setting new goals for reading and math and strategies to achieve these goals. Every students needs to make one years growth by the end of the year.   I am confident that students made improvements in their reading levels and math skills during the past few school months.  It is evident that your help and continuous support and engorgement at home is helping them to keep motivated and to keep going.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hard work, and may every thing go well for you and your family in the year of 2017.

NWEA: Math, Reading, Language, and Science test will be taken this month.  I will let you know the exact dates once I have the schedule.   At home, students should continue practicing reading and math skills on Mobymax .  Frontrow is great for math too.  In addition to help students prepare for the tests please have them get enough hours of sleep, eat a good breakfast, bring a healthy snack, and try their best.  Most of the test start as soon as they come in-around 8:15, so please please give them a boost of encouragement 🙂 and lots of assurance that they will do great.  I am sure they will achieve their goals they set back in October.  Best of luck to all!
Have a wonderful week ,
Mrs. Shakarchi
