What is the Best Season? By Ulysses Brukley

Think about the comfortable heat of summer. Now think about the bitter cold of every other season. Which sounds more enjoyable? In my opinion, summer is the easiest season to enjoy.

My first reason for believing this, is that summer has the best weather. “Summer is warm, winter is cold, and spring and fall are in between,” says an article by NASA and NOAA. I’ve always preferred to be overheated than to freeze. If I’m hot, it’s easy to cool down. However,  if I’m cold, it takes a while for me to warm up. Many might agree.

Another reason I like this season, is because there are fun things to do in the summer. “The kids are in the shade, talking about dirt.” Says the Seattle Times. Those kids were at a summer activity. During this time, beaches pools, and other outdoor places are open. But as the weather gets colder, these places shut down, so use them while you can.

Finally, the evening is shorter during the summer. In the article, What causes the seasons? It states, “Notice that during the Northern Hemisphere summer, the sun is more directly overhead than at any other time of the year.” This means more daylight. When there is more daylight, there is more time for summer activities. The extra daylight also helps me wake up early.

That is why I think summer is the best season. It’s warm, it has fun things to do, and it has long days. I don’t hate other seasons, but they’re just too cold!
