The Week of November 21, 2016

DATES TO REMEMBER

  • Tues. Nov. 22 – Picture Re-take Day – Please send back the package of pictures that you would like to be retaken on Tuesday.
  • Wed. Nov. 23 – NO SCHOOL
  • Thurs. Nov. 24 – NO SCHOOL – Happy Thanksgiving!
  • Fri. Nov. 25 – NO SCHOOL

I would like to Thank all the parents who took the time to come in for a conference.  It was nice talking to everyone.  I learn so much about your child on conference day!

The week of Nov. 28th we are going to start talking about our families.  I would like each child to bring in a family picture.  This week would be a great time to take one.  You can send me one by email at schuitd@dearbornschools.org or send one in.  

Monday and Tuesday this week we are finishing up the monthly assessment and reviewing.  

We have been working on Habit 2 this month:  Begin with the end in mind

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

 

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Read the rest of this entry »
