HELLO!!

Hello Everyone, This is a busy week for our Young Five Classroom!

Tomorrow Wednesday April 24, 2019 we have Late Start.

Tomorrow Wednesday April 24, 2019 is our field trip to the Heritage Park Petting Farm.  We will be leaving school at 10:45 AM.  If you are a chaperone please come to the school office at 10:30 AM and sign in and meet us in our classroom, room 112.  We will be returning from the trip by 2:30 PM.  Our presentation at the petting farm is at 11:15.  We will be eating lunch afterwards and have time to play too.  Hopefully we will have nice weather.  Please dress your child according to the weather.  We will be outside for must of the day.  The area could be wet and muddy due to the rain we have had.  If you would like to wear rain boots and pack gym shoes you may.  Please pack a lunch for your child in a brown disposable lunch bag or grocery bag.  Something that we can throw away.  I do not want to lose any lunch boxes or water bottles.  Write your child’s name on the bag.  Pack a healthy lunch with a drink, sandwich, fruit, and a treat.  We have 4 chaperones and myself attending the trip.  I have not been here before, and hoping it will be a nice trip.

Thursday April 25, 2019 is our Muffin’s for Moms celebration.  We have been busy making things for this special day.  The celebration will begin at 9:00 AM.  in our classroom.  The celebration will last about an hour.  We will enjoy, coffee, water, juice and muffins in the cafeteria.  Looking forward to a fun morning!

The last Popcorn Friday is this Friday April 26, 2019.  Remember there is a limit to 4 bags per child and each bag is 25 cents. Also, show and tell.

This week we are learning about the letter and sound Dd Dudley Duck.  Also, we are finishing up with the letter Kk and Qq too!  Please keep practicing their words and book bags.  We are doing a great job!

In math we are learning and introducing adding numbers together and working on our number book.

In Leader In Me we are discussing Habit 5 Seek First to understand to be understood.

In Science we have been discussing animals and their needs.

Hopefully, when we are done with our busy times with all the activities, I can finish testing and send home a progress report.

Have a good week!
