Hello Everyone,
Can you believe it is October already!!! Hard to believe for me!
Just a few reminders….
Today I sent home the Field Trip paper for our trip to the Plymouth Apple Orchard on Wednesday October 18, 2017. This day is also a Late Start Day. If your child will be attending, please return the permission slip and money. Also, if you would like to be a chaperone on the trip please make sure you have the necessary paper work done in the office. This takes time for clearance so please if you have not done so, do it so as soon as possible.
Also, on Friday October 6, 2017 is NO SCHOOL for Young Five and Kindergarten only. The teachers have a meeting at another school.
NO SHOW AND TELL THIS WEEK BECAUSE OF NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY! 🙁
On Wednesday October 4, 2017 is the PBIS behavior success party for the whole school. We will be participating in this party. Your child has to be in good behavior in order to attend.
Each week on Thursday or Friday the Young Five classrooms will be having their own behavior program. Each week the children who have earned a green for behavior each day of the week will be able to attend our Good Behavior Party. If your child is having difficulties in behaving and following directions then they will be sitting with Mr. Mayhew our School social worker and discussing how to become a good listener. So please encourage your child to listen the first time and also show respect to each other.
Mrs. Michalkiewicz ( Lilly’s Mother) has graciously volunteered to be our Young Five Parent Room Volunteer. She will be contacting everyone soon for help in the upcoming events.
This week we be starting to talk about apples and doing many different activities about apples. Also, we will be making our first book for our reading boxes at school. We have been practicing using scissors and cutting on a straight line. We are making our very own abc flashcards for our book boxes. We will be continuing working on a letter a day and practicing writing each letter. In Math we are practicing counting and recognizing the numbers and putting them in number order. We are still practicing writing our names and recognizing the letters in our name. Most importantly learning social skills, being a good friend, and knowing when to follow directions.
Have a Good Week!
