Hello Everyone… Thank you to you all for taking the time to complete the TRADE 10 project. This will be a graded assignment for Social Studies. I will be sending home the rubric after we complete the project in class. I am excited to see everyone’s product. It will be fun to watch them sell their item off to their friends. Remember each child should come home with 10 new items. If your child has not completed the project ( there is still time!!!!), then they will not be able to trade with the other children. Hopefully we will start trading the objects on Wednesday.
I want to share with you all on how happy, excited, and pleased I am with the growth and success that we have all achieved on the DRA Word Analysis tasks scores. WOW is all I can say and I am so proud and thankful for all that you have done at home and all the hard work from all my little friends!!! We will be continuing with the NWEA Reading and Math test this week and the DRA READING level test. I will soon send home a progress report to show their growth.
Also, this week I will be sending home in their reading bag a reading log for you to complete each night after their reading time. Please keep this log in their bags.
Please remember we have a HALF DAY of school January 17, 2020 with dismissal at 11:45. NO SCHOOL for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday January 20, 2020 and another HALF DAY on Tuesday January 21, 2020 with dismissal at 11:45.
The End of the Second Card Marking period is January 17, 2020.
On Wednesday January 15, 2020 is the kickoff assembly for the Kids Heart program for the American Heart Association. More information will be coming home soon to explain participation in this program.
