HELLO!!!

Hello Everyone!!

Well we just completed our first week of school for Young Fives.  Hip Hip Hooray!

Just a reminder that on Monday September 11, 2017 is our first full day of school.  Please remember to bring a healthy snack and lunch.  If possible please put snack in a separate bag from their lunch.  Or show them what their snack will be when putting their lunch together so they can find it in their lunch box.  If it is possible to put their snack in a separate inexpensive bag I would appreciate it.  It seems to be easier to keep their lunch in the lunch bin in our classroom and their snack to stay in their locker.  At snack time they can go to their locker to get their snack.  Also, please no juice or milk at snack time, ONLY WATER!  If they happen to spill the milk or juice it is hard to clean up the sticky mess.

Also, please remember to send the red homework folder daily.  Also, please bring backpacks each day.

On Thursday September 14, 2017 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM is Open House!  Looking forward to seeing everyone on this night.

There will be a Scholastic Book Fair in the library on that night.  On Thursday during the day the children will be able to view the book selections and make a wish list.  If you would look to purchase the books you can send in the money or visit the Book Fair on Open House night.

Today I sent home my welcome letter.  If you have any questions please see, call, or email me.

On Monday September 11, 2017 I will be sending home a behavior calendar in their red folder.  Each day their behavior will be recorded on this sheet.  Please keep this sheet in their folder.  This is a way to see how your child is behaving at school.  There are 4 colors.  Green (perfect), Yellow (warning), Orange (lots of warnings), and Red (office referral).  Let’s try our best to stay on green and remind the children how to listen and behave at school.  On Friday we will be going to my prize box for good behavior.

Our schedule of activities next week will be getting to know you, procedures and routines and social skills. Math games and working on recognizing and writing our name. Exploring our classroom.

Have a Good weekend!
