WE WATCHED THE CARTOON VERSION OF HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS AND ATE POPCORN IN OUR JAMMIES!

SOME OF US WENT TO THE SCHOOL SING ALONG IN THE GYM AT THE END OF THE DAY. IT WAS FUN TO SING WITH OUR PEERS!

FRIDAY WAS YOUSSEF’S LAST DAY AT OUR SCHOOL. 🙁
WE WILL MISS HIM SO VERY MUCH!

On Monday we read the Gingerbread Man story.
Right after we finished the story, Ms. Bowdell got a phone call from our principal, Mrs. Alcodray, saying that the Gingerbread Man was loose in the school!
Mrs. Alcodray asked Ms. Bowdell if her and her class could help her catch the Gingerbread Man…
We said yes!
Here are some pictures from our journey to catch the Gingerbread Man:

Our first clue from the gingerbread man said to check the music room.

HE WASN’T THERE BUT WE FOUND A CLUE.
THE CLUE SAID TO CHECK THE ART ROOM.
SO OFF WE WENT…

HE WASN’T THERE EITHER BUT HE LEFT US A CLUE.
THE CLUE SAID THAT HE WAS SOMEWHERE THAT YOU CAN BOUNCE BALLS.
JANA WAS VERY QUICK TO SOLVE OUR CLUE:
“GYM!”, SHE SAID!
GREAT JOB, JANA!
so we went to the gym.

the gingerbread man was not in the gym, but he left us a clue that lead us to the lunchroom.

the gingerbread man wasn’t there either!
he said that he was going to a place where he could find a book… so we went to the library.

we asked the librarian if she had seen him.
she said no, but we found a clue from the gingerbread man!
he said that he was going to the office to play IN THE SPINNING CHAIRS…
HE WASN’T IN THE OFFICE BUT WE FOUND ANOTHER CLUE.

THIS CLUE SAID THAT THE GINGERBREAD MAN WAS VERY TIRED FROM ALL OF THE RUNNING AROUND THE SCHOOL.
IT ALSO SAID THAT IF WE ARE FAST ENOUGH, WE CAN CATCH HIM IN OUR CLASSROOM!
SO WE HURRIED BACK…

AND GUESS WHAT?!
WE FOUND HIM!!! 🙂

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE SWEATERS! 🙂

During the month of October, our class made a class book for Halloween called
“Ms. Bowdell’s Class, Miss Bowdell’s Class, What Do You See?”
It was instantly a hit with the kiddos… so we made a Christmas edition of their favorite book!
The students get to pick what they “see” and then they take a picture holding the picture of the item they chose.
Tomorrow I will be printing these pages to make a book so we can read it during class and the students can read it during reading and down time, but I thought it would be nice to share it with you all.

  Wear your pajamas and slippers.
  (Please keep our school dress code in mind. Pajamas must be appropriate for school; please no shorts or spaghetti strapped tank tops.)
