Ms. Sbeity and Miss Yandura’s Language Arts 3:

We started the hour with our grammar bellwork.

Then we made individual lists of the attributes of heroes since our theme this semester is heroes (everyday heroes, epic heroes, and tragic heroes).  We watched a video clip of a 911 hero that we read about yesterday.

With a partner, we applied “Talking to the Text” to an article.

Do not forget your SSR book for tomorrow!

Ms. Sbeity’s Spanish Class:

We started the hour with common everyday questions in conversation for bellwork.

Spanish 2:  We practiced foods and ordering in a restaurant vocabulary.  We also applied “ser” to expressing days, dates, time, and ownership.  (Vocabulary List, Ser Worksheet)

Spanish 3/4: We worked on vocabulary with a partner and used the expressions for dialogue.  We continued to practice the use of the imperfect tense to talk about what people used to do.  (Vocabulary List, Imperfect Worksheet)

Spanish 3/4:  We applied our new vocabulary to discuss things we liked to do as a child.  Also we were introduced to the imperfect verb tense that we need in order to express things that happened in the past. (Vocabulary List, Worksheet on the imperfect tense)
