We have been working diligently for the past 2 weeks on our Science learning plan and Cell Theory along with the similar functions ALL cells carry. We have come to a realization how cell are the smallest and MOST complex units of LIFE. Students have been working hard to learn the steps of researching a topic and attempting to write it in their own words. We will continue to have a few circle gatherings this week to discuss their posters and what confusion they might still have. Also, we will have a short gallery walk for students to write down facts from their partners’ posters to have in their journal for project assessment.
This week in CELLS
Our Essential Questions for this week are
- WHY DO WE SHIVER OR SWEAT?
- How do we know SOMETHING is ALIVE?
- What are the sign of an infection? How do you treat an infection?
- How does LIFE result from Cell STRUCTURE and FUNCTION?
- What are microorganisms? How small are they?
We will continue learning about cells this week but our focus is one prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells along with their structure and functions.
