  • Cell Theory quiz should be completed and grades posted by Tuesday 10/10.  Study guide and lecture notes were posted on Google Classroom to review and prepare for the quiz. Students’ science learning plan was due on Friday 10/6, please review our syllabus for late assignments.
  • Keep track of your grades on student connect for students or parent connect for parents to check their child’s progress. Progress reports will be sent home this week or early next week for students receiving C- or less in any subject.

  • Congratulations to the girls volleyball team for winning against Lowrey! And Congratulations to the football team for winning against Woodworth!

  • Friday, October 13th: Half Day for students

In Science news….

  • We will finalize our discussion on the Cell Theory and the 7 similar functions ALL cells carry.
  • A class project will be introduced then posted on Google Classroom for students to work on while in class with their assigned partner.  They can research their assigned topic online as homework, using the online encyclopedia posted below
  • We will have a Gallery Walk for students to present their informational poster to the class.  EVERY member of the group needs to become the topic expert as they will take turns explaining their poster to their peers.
  • If time allows, I am planning for us to begin our conversation and learning about prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
