Building a Cell, Scavenger Hunt & Progress Reports Week!

A fun but busy week is approaching us! We have been learning about cells of living organisms for the past few weeks! This week, students will use their notes as a resource to build a eukaryotic cell. Their goal is to determine what organelles plant and animal cells have along with their function. To master this goal students will…..

Build a cell with their partner
Determine what cell it is found in
Identify the function of that organelle
Explain what would happen if that organelle were missing from the cell

Afterward, students will take part in a scavenger hunt as they independently travel around the classroom & hallway to answer 23 task cards as a review activity.

Last week, students completed 2-3 input lab stations to identify organelles plant and animal cells have along with their function. They will be assessed on what they discovered on Tuesday & Wednesday.

***You help is needed for our edible Science Lab next week! Your donation from the list provided is greatly appreciated. This list will be posted on Google Classroom (P.S. students will receive 10 points credit on their lab for supply donation)

Progress reports are scheduled to be mailed this week/next week. Students scoring a C- or less in Science will be receiving one.
