A few reminders for students as the school year progresses:

  • Dress Code:  Students are to dress appropriately with a coat, hat, gloves and boots when needed according to weather conditions.
  • Students show responsibility daily by :
    • Being it to class on time
    • Coming to class prepared with their planner, supplies and what is needed.
    • Making good use of 6 minutes passing time for water and restroom use .
    • Walking quietly on the right side of the hallway.
    • Using their planner wisely to turn in assignments on time.
    • Checking their grades and assignments daily posted on “student connect”.

This week in Science, 6th grade students :

  • Will take pride in presenting their Prokaryote vs Eukaryote project of their choice to explain differences between each.
  • Will work independently with their 7 o’clock science buddy to complete input and output lab stations.
  • Will complete their Frayer model vocabulary assignment.  Each Frayer Model will include:
    1. Definition of assigned word (from their notes instead of GOOGLE)
    2. Illustration / image of it
    3. It’s function in a eukaryotic cell (plant/animal cell)
    4. What cell is it found in ? (Prokaryotic cell, Eukaryotic cell <animal/plant cell> ?
