Thank you to all the parents who attended the conferences last week. It was a pleasure to meet you all and discuss your child’s progress.

The Thanksgiving Holiday week that is upon us will be a short one and my focus this week will be….

Discuss the 6 kingdoms cells belong to – Eubacteria, Archaebacteria, Plantae, Protista, Animalia & Fungi
Basic needs of ALL living things
Give students time in class to think the project through and plan with their partner(s)
Students will revisit their learning plan then revise their goal if needed for the second quarter.

Congratulations to the Vikings who earned 3.5 or higher during first quarter! As a reward, PBIS rewarded them with an ice cream treat on Friday along with a free coupon from Taco Bell! Vikings who received a 3.0 or higher received a Taco Bell coupon as well. I am hopeful that students who earned lower than 3.0 will be working harder this quarter to show their viking pride as well! Way to go, Vikings!!

On Monday 11/19, the 27th annual Empty Bowls dinner will be hosted at Park Place. Please attend to enjoy a meal of soup and bread in order to help fight hunger for a donation of $5, you will also receive a ceramic bowl created by a viking or other schools within the Dearborn School District.
