Friday 4/20 Dance
  • As we move on to another great week in Science, please remember to review the objectives we completed that day and be prepared for the Traits Test on Monday 4/23 for A-Day, and Tuesday 4/24 for B-Day students.  The Spring Fling Dance is scheduled for this Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

This week in Science

  • We will focus on specific vocabulary words (chromosomes, genes, nucleus, inherited traits, acquired traits, dominant trait, recessive traits,  & DNA) as we discuss them during Lecture Days.  (Please review my planbook from my “page” section)
  • I have provided a copy of modified notes for those who might need support to become better note takers as we have updated our science goals last week and note taking was one of the goals we discussed.  Please be prepared to use it on Lecture Days if needed.  I will post the powerpoint on Google Classroom.
  • Students will construct 4-5 vocabulary Frayer Models for some of the words they might need support in during lecture days.
  •  Students will work in pairs to research a specific trait they are assigned,  become an expert in it and teach it to their table before sharing as a group!
  • A test in Traits and Heredity is scheduled for
    • Monday 4/23 for A-Day students
    • Tuesday 4/24 for B-Day students
