The note below was sent home with your child on Friday regarding tomorrow’s schedule
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This note is to inform you that on Monday, January 29th, our 6th graders will be celebrating their recent NWEA test successes as well as recognizing ongoing social justice activities we’ve been doing during Advisory class and the start of Black History Month by viewing the movie “Hidden Figures”. The film is rated PG, so we feel an obligation to let you know. We have asked students to bring this note home and, if you feel they should not view the film, please either email any of their teachers or send this n

ote back indicating same.
Many thanks from the 6th Grade Teachers
This week in science we will continue our investigation on Thermal Energy Transfer by
- Analyzing their virtual lab data
- Review their temperature data from last week’s experiment and decide the difference between insulators and conductors
- Plan an investigation to show relationships between thermal energy, mass and temperature
- Bring together information from a text and a simulation to better model the balloon in a freezer phenomena
Groundhog Day is this Friday and let’s wish he doesn’t see his shadow and Spring will arrive early or vice versa 🙂
Have a great week!
