Good evening,
I hope you had a restful weekend and ready for another wintery week. Most of the 6th graders completed their science NWEA, there are a few left from “A” Day which I hope will complete this week. So far the majority of students showed growth in Science from Fall to Winter! I am super proud of their hard work and complete effort they gave to this assessment.
As I promised the 2 sections that grew the MOST from Fall 2017 to Winter 2018 will have a class celebration. I will report the winners by next week. However I am super proud of everyone’s effort especially those who met their goal and BEAT their goal as well! Keep up the hard work and as always STAY CURIOUS…
REMINDER: Wednesday is a Late Start where bell rings at 8:50 a.m. instead of 7:50 a.m.
This week we will start our conversation about Thermal Energy transfer as students start/continue with input and output science lab stations before having a lab quiz on Friday. The focus question the students need to discuss with scientific evidence is
How does heat transfer cause our experiences of feeling “heat” or “coldness?”
Have a great week everyone!
