Science notebooks were assembled: Journals should have a labeled Cover Page, Table of Contents, Science NWEA table on the first page after the table of contents and Glossary. I am happy to say that the majority of students are ready for science.
Our first science reflection was on the following debate topic.
Should animal testing be legal for medical research?
Students wrote a reflection of it in their science journal. We will continue to discuss this topic throughout the week. Students’ jobs are to investigate and share why they agree or disagree with the topic. I am looking forward to hear what they have to say.
A writing piece of this debate is due on Wednesday 9/21/2016 for A-Day and Thursday 9/22/2016 for B-Day.
We didn’t get a chance to complete the Syllabus quiz (Ongoing). Lastly this week we worked together in small science groups and completed a Solo-Cup challenge that showed students how to work together, listen to each other and respect each others opinion in order to succeed.
