Exploring Ecology
In this lesson, you are going to learn about how living things interact with each other and the environment. You will also learn how to thinks about systems and practice explaining cause and effect.
Go to quizlet.com -ecology (science 6 and 7 grades) and practice reading, listening, writing and pronouncing the vocabulary.
We will have a project about the Earth’s major biomes to help you understanding
different ecosystems.

End of Marking Period 1
The Ending of the first marking period is Friday October 14. Interactive notebooks (ISN) are due tomorrow to be graded. Remember to complete the table of contents, dates and title for each lesson and complete all you assigned work.

Golden Rule
Treat everyone with respect
Entrance into Classroom
1, Enter the classroom quietly
2. Be prepared for everything you need for the class.
3. Always have a pencil
During Instruction
1. No pencil sharpening, talking,or whispering during class instruction
2. Listen to the teacher or to your classmates when they ask questions
3. Ask permission before you speak by raising your hand and waiting to be recognized
When Absent
Ask your classmates what we did and compare the table of contents
Check the MissingWork Folder on the teacher’s desk
When the Teacher is Absent
Treat substitutes or guests with respect
Be courteous and honest
Use a classroom voice

End of the School year
I want to congratulate everyone of you for your accomplishments this year. I am proud of all of you, and I want you to continue working during summer to prepare yourself for the next school year. Your Interactive science and math notebooks are good resources that you can use to practice math and science. Also, do not forget to read for 20 minutes everyday.
I wish you and your family a wonderful summer vacation.
