SLOT: Solving system of linear equations by substitution

Students will learn how to  define variables and create system of equations from read-world problems.

Students will practice skill independently ( Math Menu & IXL)

English Language Arts

Unit of Study:  Informational leveled book / PSAT review- Apply Reading strategies

Students will read and analyze  informational texts  and apply reading comprehension strategies .

They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

PSAT Practice

U.S. History

Lesson focus: Westward Movement- continue

Students will read informational texts/ Talk- to Text/ learn significant  facts.

They will orally present it.

Students will learn new academic vocabulary related to topic.

Study Skills

This week’s focus is Volume of Cylinder & Cone (Prerequisites for Geometry lesson).

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Earthquakes/ Plate Tectonics

They will read and analyze informational texts. Formative assessments:  Complete vocabulary foldable/ Oral presentation of informational articles.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
