Pre-algebra

Unit of Study: Integers/ Absolute value

Students will learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide integers.

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative Text and plot Elements

Students will analyze fiction texts, identify plot elements and cite textual evidence to support claim (CER).

Students will apply structured reading and writing , complete plot Diagram and will orally present it. It will be graded as a summative assessment.

U.S. History

Unit of Study:  Early Explorations of New World

Students will read and analyze an  informational book and learn significant facts about Age of discovery.  Student will learn new academic vocabulary.

They will complete Frayer model and Cornell Notes.

Study Skills

Lesson Focus: Order of Operations

Students will learn how to solve equations using Order of Operations.

Physical Science

Unit of Study: The Scientific Method

They will read and analyze informational texts and create foldable/ thinking maps.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
