Unit of Study: Informational Text features aligned to social studies texts

Students will analyze an  informational book entitled ” Technology and the Civil War” and identify main ideas and cite textual evidence to support claim.

Students will apply structured reading and writing and create their own lap book report and will orally present it. It will be graded as a summative assessment.

Intervention Class: – Exponents .

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Earthquakes/ Volcanoes

They will read and analyze informational texts and create foldable/ thinking maps.

U.S. History

Unit of Study: Civil war/ Reconstruction(continue)

Students will read and analyze informational book about Civil War and learn about  causes of civil war. Student will learn new academic vocabulary.

They will complete Cornell Notes, thinking maps and foldable for each lesson.
