Pre-algebra

Unit of Study: Lesson 6: Function

Students will learn how to identify function from a graph, table, and a diagram.( Group work/ Independent skill).

Students will identify function/ non-function and will use vertical line test.

Formative Assessments:   daily  / summative: 10/28

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative text/ features

Students will close read Poe’s ” The Tell- Tale Heart” and examine Plot Elements. They will apply Close & Critical Reading framework (4 squares)

U.S. History

Unit of Study:  Causes of American Revolution

Students will read and analyze an  informational text and learn significant facts about the causes of revolution. 

Student will learn new academic vocabulary. They will complete Frayer model and Talk-to-Text. they will complete thinking maps and orally present it as a group.

Unit of Study: Natural Selection-Fossils continue

They will read informational articles, learn new academic vocabulary, and write a structured paragraph about Natural selection and species’ adaptation to changing habitats.
