Unit of Study: Lesson 4: Scientific Notation- continue

Unit 2: Function

Students will learn how to write scientific notation.( Group work/ Independent skill).

Students will identify function/ non-function and will use vertical line test.

Students will graph ordered pairs on the coordinate plane.

Formative Assessments:   daily  / summative: 10/18

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative text/ features

Students will close read Poe’s ” The Tell- Tale Heart” and examine Plot Elements.

Students will analyze character traits of protagonist applying CER.

U.S. History

Unit of Study:  The Thirteen Colonies- continue

Students will read and analyze an  informational text and learn significant facts about the thirteen colonies.  Students will learn about the French and Indian War.

Student will learn new academic vocabulary. They will complete Frayer model and Talk-to-Text.

Summative assessment: 10/17

They will read informational articles, learn new academic vocabulary, and write a structured paragraph about Natural selection and species’ adaptation to changing habitats.
