Unit of Study: Solving Multi-step Equations (Ready Common Core Instruction Book)

SLOT(continue): Multi-Step equations / word problems using GUESS strategy

Students will solve linera equations with variable on both sides. Students will practice skill in groups solving word problems.

English Language Arts

Unit of Study: Informational/ Argumentative text (Close & Critical Reading 4 squares)-continue

Mini lessons: Persuasive Techniques (Ethos/ pathos/ Logos)

Students will read and analyze an argumentative text about Amazon Online Delivery and apply CCR .

They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

U.S. History

Lesson focus: U. S. Constitution-continue

Students will read informational texts/ Talk- to Text about  Ideas behind the Constitution  & American government .

They will orally present it.

Students will learn new academic vocabulary related to U. S. Constitution.

Assessment: 12/19

Study Skills

This week’s focus will be Mean/ Mode/ Median/ Range

Khan Academy ( Online practice).

Physical Science

Unit of Study: The Solar System

They will read and analyze informational texts about planets. Formative assessments:  Complete vocabulary foldable/ Oral presentation of informational articles.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
