Pre-algebra 

Unit of Study: Linear Function/ Slope- intercept form equation

SLOT(continue): Multi-Step equations / word problems using GUESS strategy

Students will identify rate of change and find slope from linear equations. Students will practice skill in groups solving word problems.

English Language Arts

Unit of Study: Informational/ Argumentative text (Close & Critical Reading 4 squares)

Mini lessons: Persuasive Techniques (Ethos/ pathos/ Logos)

Students will read and analyze an argumentative text about Amazon Online Delivery and apply CCR .

They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

Assessment: 12/11 (Argumentative Writing)/ Review Study Guide provided on Monday 12/10

U.S. History

Lesson focus: U. S. Constitution-continue

Students will read informational texts/ Talk- to Text about  Ideas behind the Constitution  & American government .

They will orally present it.

Students will learn new academic vocabulary related to U. S. Constitution.

Assessment: 12/5

This week’s focus will be NWEA practice (Reading Comprehension & Review of Literary devices)

Khan Academy ( Online practice).

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Motion of Earth & Moon

They will read and analyze informational texts about Eclipses/ Moon phases. Formative assessments:  Complete vocabulary foldable/ Oral presentation of informational articles.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
