Unit of Study: Linear Function/ Slope- intercept form equation

SLOT: Multi-Step equations / word problems using GUESS strategy

Students will identify rate of change and find slope from linear equations. Students will practice skill in groups solving word problems.

English Language Arts

Unit of Study: Argumentative Writing

Mini lessons: C.E.R. Writing strategy/ Counterargument/ Deconstructing an argumentative text about standardized tests

Students will continue writing a well- developed and organized argumentative essay by completing an outline.

They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

Assessment: 12/7

U.S. History

Lesson focus: U. S. Constitution

Students will read informational texts/ Talk- to Text about American government and Constitution.

They will orally present it.

Students will learn new academic vocabulary related to U. S. Constitution.

Assessment: 12/5

Khan Academy ( Online practice).

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Motion of Earth & Moon

They will read and analyze informational texts about Rotation & Revolution/ Moon phases. Formative assessments:  Complete vocabulary foldable/ Oral presentation of informational articles.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
