Unit of Study: Rate of Change/ Slope

Students will identify rate of change and find slope from ordered pairs , table and graph.

SLOT: Multi-Step equations/ word problems using CUBES strategy

Unit of Study: Argumentative Writing

Mini lessons: Persuasive techniques/ Prefixes & Suffix

Students will read and annotate an argumentative article /identify Pros & Cons .

Students will write a well- developed and organized argumentative essay by completing an outline.

They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

U.S. History

Lesson focus: American Revolution (Major Battles)

Students will read informational texts about major battles and complete an organizer about significant facts. They will orally present it.

Study Skills

This week’s focus will be Relation & Function/ Rate of change

Khan Academy ( Online practice- the Number System- continue).

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Waves

They will read and analyze informational texts about Waves. Formative assessments:  Complete vocabulary foldable/ Oral presentation of informational article.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
