Pre-algebra

Unit of Study: Function

Students will compare function and identify rate of change.

SLOT: Multi-Step equations/ word problems using CUBES strategy

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative text “The Tell -Tale Heart”/ Genre: Thriller

Mini lessons: Author’s Purpose/ Allusion/ Irony

Students will apply Close & Critical Reading (4 squares) and will orally present it.

They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

U.S. History

Lesson focus: Declaration of Independence/ George Washington Biography

Students will read a biography and create a mini biography report. They will orally present it.

Study Skills

This week’s focus will be Text structure

Khan Academy ( Online practice- the Number System- continue).

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Energy

They will read and analyze informational texts about forms of Energy. Formative assessments:  Complete vocabulary foldable/ Oral presentation of informational article.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
