Unit of Study: Square Roots/ Perfect Square

Students will learn how to solve square roots equations ( group work/ Independent skill).

Assessment:   10/18

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative text ” Tell -Tale Heart”/ Genre: Thriller

Mini lessons: Figurative Language

Students will analyze a narrative text ” Tell- Tale Heart” and answer guided reading questions. They will write about Plot elements. They will cite textual evidence to support claim.

Assessment: 10/19

U.S. History

Unit of Study:  The thirteen Colonies (Begin to Protest)_ continue

Students will read and analyze informational texts about 13 colonies and reasons they disliked British rule..

They will learn significant facts about the reasons to protest.  Student will learn new academic vocabulary.

Study Skills

This week’s focus will be on solving one/ two/ multistep equations (Group Work/ Independent skills)

Physical Science

Unit of Study: Force & Motion_ continue

They will read and analyze informational texts about Balanced/ unbalanced forces & Newton’s Laws of Motion and create foldable/ thinking maps.

They will learn new academic vocabulary.
