Students will learn how to solve equations using rules of exponents ( group work/ Independent skill).

Mini lessons: Point of view/ tone
Students will analyze an argumentative article and apply Close & Critical Reading (4 squares) . They will cite textual evidence to support claim.
Students will orally present CCR. It will be graded as a summative assessment
U.S. History
Unit of Study: The thirteen Colonies
Students will read and analyze an informational text about Jamestown and Plymouth.
They will learn significant facts about the geography, economy, and culture of the thirteen Colonies. Student will learn new academic vocabulary.
They will complete an organizer based on a powerpoint.
Study Skills
We will be NWEA testing during study skills.
Physical Science
Unit of Study: Force & Motion
They will read and analyze informational texts about centripetal and friction forces and create foldable/ thinking maps.
They will learn new academic vocabulary.
