Abbas won our class pumpkin raffle!

Today, students that followed our classroom expectations and core values were able to paint pumpkins, color and listen to music this afternoon!

Your child should wear their costume on Monday to school. Please no weapons or other inappropriate attire. The parade will be at 2:00. Parents that would like to volunteer may come and pass out candy to the students during the parade at the 2nd grade candy station.

If your child sends in any treats, we will pass them out during our afternoon before the parade.

Today we learned about mixtures. We learned that mixtures are 2 or more substances that are combined, easily separated and do not make a new substance.

We made our mixtures with pretzels, popcorn M &Ms and cheerios.

Families,

I just spoke with a parent after school today about the lack of homework worksheets. I am so sorry, I know that I was sending more worksheets and study guides home before, but unfortunately we are VERY limited on the number of copies we can make, and I’m already 1/2 way through my copy limit!

Please have your child use MobyMax if possible, there is math practice on there.

Today we learned about solutions. We made kool aid and watched as the three separate ingredients combined to become a whole new solution.
