Science Fair Boot Camp
Mark your calendar! The Lindbergh Science Fair Boot Camp is Wednesday, March 12th at 6:30. The student project boards will be displayed and there will also be hands on Science experiments to try!
Your student’s “GROWING A GUMMY WORM” experiment is being sent home today. Included are the experiment procedures and the materials you need.
We grew a gummy worm in water in class this week so the students should be familiar with the procedure. We made predictions, observations, recorded data, and made conclusions. You are doing the same thing at home but you are adding a variable!
Good Luck, have fun and email me if you have any questions!
March is Reading Month
We will celebrate reading during the Month of March with some fun activities – these are listed on the March is Reading Month Calendar in your student’s red folder.
We would love to have some guest readers! Bring your favorite Children’s Story! Please email me an available date and we can schedule you in! Time slots are available first thing in the morning (8:40 a.m.) and at the end of the day (3:15).
Reading Logs
You can still turn in your February Reading log for a pizza! March reading logs were sent home yesterday! Don’t forget you can include the time spent working with the “little books” found in your student’s reading bag.

Week of Feb. 3rd
Hello!
Just some information about the week:
Monday: Today is the PBIS reward for the students who were on green 80% of the time for the month of January. Those students earning the reward will enjoy a “DANCE PARTY” down in the cafeteria near the end of the day.
Book Fair: We will be browsing the Book Fair today and students will be bringing home “wish lists”
Reading Bags: Students will begin to bring home reading bags. These books can be practiced at home. Please be sure to return it every morning so your students has the books for Daily Five.
Most of the students just have alphabet books – which may seem too “easy” – but we are working on finding the print on the page, using our reading finger, and handling the book themselves.
Valentine Party information will be coming soon. For those out shopping this week for “treats” we have 15 students in our class.
Have a good week!
