Classroom Holiday Party, Friday morning, December 22nd

What We Did This Week

We introduced our Alpha Friends, Nyle Noodle (N) and Larry Lion (L)

We colored the letters , colored letter pictures, and worked with the letters in our poem books.

We introduced the sight words: I, like

We wrote in our journals.  We are learning to draw our stories with details and basic shapes.

We are reading stories by the author Mercer Meyer (Little Critter Books)

We worked in our Handwriting book using our “three finger squeeze” and practicing capital E (another “straight line” letter)

We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid

We discussed the “Tricky Teen” family (numbers 11-19) and stamped teen numbers in playdough

We are also building numbers on the ten frame and having “number talks”

We visited our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media

We enjoyed playing on the playground

We enjoyed Free Choice Time

We rotated through our Daily 5 Literacy Centers

Students who were on green 4 days this week attended the “Special Guest” reward party.

In Science we used our sense of touch to make snow!!!!

Barnes and Noble Fundraiser

Our annual Barnes and Noble Book Fair is this Saturday, December 2nd, starting at 9am. Get some Holiday shopping done and support Lindbergh at the same time! BN is also including a basket of items to be raffled off on Saturday for anyone that attends 🙂

We introduced our Alpha Friend, Pippa Pig, letter P

We colored the letter P, colored letter P pictures, and worked with letter P in our poem books.

We wrote in our journals.  We are learning to draw our stories with details and basic shapes.

We are reading stories by the author Mo Willems (Pigeon books)

We worked in our Handwriting book using our “three finger squeeze” and have started our study of the“straight – line” letter family with the letter L

We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid

We discussed the “Tricky Teen” family (numbers 11-19)

We are also building numbers on the ten frame

We practiced writing numbers 1-20 this week

We visited our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media

We enjoyed playing on the playground

We enjoyed Free Choice Time

We rotated through our Daily 5 Literacy Centers

Students who were on green 4 days this week attended the BINGO party

In Science we used our sense taste to graph if we enjoyed sweet or salty treats

LINDBERGH PARENT TALK CLASSES

INCREASE ACHIEVEMENT AND DECREASE DISCIPLINE ISSUES WITH EFFECTIVE  PARENT TALK.

Learn communication skills that empower, encourage self-responsible behaviors, self-motivation and character development. Learn practical skills to positively Effect the social and emotional development of your children and family.  A certificate of completion is awarded to participants who complete the course.

Classes are Thursdays at 9:00-10:30 am. in the Art Room

January 18, 25. February 1, 8, 15. March 1, 8    

Graduation: March 15, 2018
