News

Dear Families,

I am writing to inform you that I have applied for intermittent FMLA to care for the needs of a sick family member.  This means I will be absent from time to time to assist with care giving.  Although these absences were unexpected , the students have fallen into a good routine and are very familiar by now with our daily classroom procedures and expectations.

Please keep in mind the days I am not at school I will be available by email.  I will be keeping up with curriculum and classroom lesson planning while away from the classroom.  Students will carry on and continue to follow the Kindergarten curriculum and pacing as set by the district.

Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.  Thank you for your support.

Halloween Party – Oct. 31st

We will celebrate Halloween at school on Wednesday, October 31st.

There is a school-wide costume parade for Kindergarten and Young Fives.  Parents are more than welcome to attend.  It will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Usually parents stand in the hallways to watch near the office.

Students should wear their costume to school.  We will participate in the parade and then the students can wear them for our classroom party (10:00-10:45).  We will take our costumes off right before we go to lunch.

Please make sure your student’s costume is appropriate, fits comfortably and isn’t too warm…..we’ll be inside.  Please no play weapons that may go with your student’s costume.

We will enjoy cider and donuts and then rotate through a game and craft.

Below is a link to sign up for donations.

With our large class there are not very many things to donate for this celebration.  But keep in mind you can donate to our Holiday party coming in December.

Please email me if you can volunteer that morning.

Thank you!

Field Trip

Thank you to the many parent chaperones that made our trip to the orchard a success!  Thank you for enduring the mud, the humidity and bee stings!

The students had a great time!  They were able to recognize many things about the orchard that we had read about in class.

Hope everyone is getting clean tonight!
